ABSTRACT
Congenital vascular malformations result from anomalies of the vascular embryonic system. Depending on the period of alteration occurrence, the illnesses may be classified as arterial, venous, lymphatic or mixed. The vascular malformations are hard to be treated, so several lines of treatment are known such as surgical procedure, endovascular method, the sclerotherapy, and occasionally, a combination of the three. The case of a 35 years-old black female, who had a history of vascular malformation in her second finger and part of the palm of the left hand, was presented. She also suffered physical deformity and pain in her hand. She was treated with foam sclerotherapy and her progression is favourable, with excellent acceptability on the part of the physician as well as the patient.
