ABSTRACT
This paper presented the interesting case of a woman who suffered deep venous thrombosis in her left arm at the onset of a lymphoma. A 25 years-old Caucasian female patient who began feeling tired after doing minor activities, intensive short of breath and palpitation on exercising. Hematological, hemochemical, imaging and cytological tests were made. Firstly, it was confirmed that there was deep venous thrombosis of the left axillary subclavian vein, and then she was diagnosed as a 4th staging non-Hodgkin lymphoma patient. She was specifically treated for both diseases, but her progression was not good and finally she died nine months later. The thromboembolic venous disease may exceptionally be part of the clinical picture of the clinical onset of a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma; therefore, this disease has to be borne in mind in the event of young people suffering venous thrombosis in the axillary-subclavian vein that is not associated to any previous strong effort by the individual.
