ABSTRACT

The ejaculation is a reflex that requires two phases the emission and expulsión. The emission involves deposition of seminal fluid into the vas deferens and to the posterior urethra. The second phase includes the closure removal of the bladder neck followed by rhythmic contractions of the bulbospongios and ischiocavernosus muscles and intermittent relaxation of external urethral sphincter. The ejaculation process is modulated by a complex of neurotransmitters dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin (5HT) an imbalance in them will result in premature ejaculation (PE).
