ABSTRACT
Case report of a female patient with endoftalmitis and corneal abscess secondary to Fusarium. The patient presented a corneal trauma with an unidentified object after one month and a half of evolution, being treated with multiple medications including steroids and antibiotics. Visual acuity: light perception. Abscess of the 70% of the corneal diameter with satellite lesions. Antimicotic treatment started for 72 hours. Because of a high risk of perforation, we performed a tectonic penetrating keratoplasty, finding a cotton like lesion over the ciliary body and on the vitreous. We performed vitrectomy with application of anfoterisine-B and dexametasone. Four months after, the corneal graft was transparent and the final visual acuity was 20/20. We suggest to be care in the prescription of medications specially if there is risk of micotic infection.REFERENCES
