ABSTRACT
Urodynamic studies were developed 30 years ago, and they have been widely accepted as the most important explorations when evaluating a patient with possible malfunction of lower urinary tract. Urodynamic studies may be performed in all groups of patients, such as children, men, women, elderly and people with voiding dysfunction of neurological origin. However, the urodynamic studies are a diagnostic complementation rarely used due to the limited information about. This paper reviews the different parts of urodynamics:
1) spontaneous uroflowmetry,
2) cystometry,
3) profilometry and
4) flow-pressure.
