ABSTRACT
A terminology anarchy in congenital defects has prevailed. A classic example is that called Poland Syndrome, that according to modern terminology must be adequately called “Malformation Complex”. In this work the correct terminology between groups of researchers, geneticists and embryologists one accepted universally is presented. The clinic and surgeons are not well acquainted and do not know it, therefore it should be widespread. For a better comprehension some examples are exposed and the classification and updated nomenclature are defined, since their correct application allows the embryonic origin and the pathological process of each entity to be inferred.REFERENCES
