Language as cognitive disorders in autistic children of “Dora Alonso” Special School.

ABSTRACT
Autism is being a complex, enigmatic problem and a challenge. This descriptive and transversal work was developed with the aim of determining some cognitive disorders that a group of Autistic children present. The research was done at “Dora Alonso” Special School for Autism located in Ciudad de la Habana, Cuba, from Septembre 2008 to July 2009. The studied group has 29 children, between 5 and 9 years of age.Predominate male sex in a 2,6:1 proportion .The students were applied the dimensión inventory of Angel Reviere (I.D.E.A) Autistic spectrum. The majority (86,2%) were enrolled at the school before the age of 5.The totality of studied children had some disorders of comunicatives functions ,receptive and expressive language. Girls presented the worst results.
