ABSTRACT
Amoebiasis is a worldwide distribution disease, which causes the death of about 40 000 to 100 000 every year, turning it into the 2nd cause of death due to parasitie illness. This article makes an analysis of the physiopathology, clinic manifestations, diagnosis and treatment as well as complications of the illness itself. We report a case of a 72 year old patient, hypertensive and dislipidemic with a chronic abdominal pain associated to diarrheic disporsure.
