ABSTRACT
Hemolytic anemia represents a group of diseases that have for common characteristic hemolysis. Hemolysis is the destruction or removal of red blood cells from the circulation before their normal life span of 120 days. This syndrome is important because of the great spectrum of presentation which goes from an asymptomatic patient to a chronic and even deadly disease. The principal issues around this disease are reviewed in this article.
