Development of clinical aptitude by nursing students with two educational modalities

ABSTRACT
Introduction: The main paper assigned to the school through the time has been the one of assisting the socialization process.Objective: To identify the development degree from the later clinical aptitude to an intervention educational promoter of the participation in comparison with a traditional educational strategy.
Methodology: It was carried out a study quasiexperimental. The population was integrated by two groups of fifth semester of the nursing bachelor degree on two nursing schools. The first experimental group integrated by 20 students was made with the promoter educational strategy of participation and the second control group was made with the traditional educational strategy. In order to evaluate the development degree of the clinical aptitude it was completed and validated an instrument of measure.
Results: In the global features it was not observed significant differences among the groups before they were intervened. It was observed a significant percentage increace on favor of the experimental group after the educational intervention with a P‹0.001. 55% from the control group kept itself without changes; meanwhile 40% decreaced its percentage. In contrast, 85% from the experimental group increased it.
Discussion: The results showed that the type of strategy implemented on the experimental group achieved encouraging the motivation among students from their own experience and recover it reflexively.
