ABSTRACT
External cementum-dentinal reabsorption (ECDR) is defined as the loss of the discontinuity in the dentinal tissue caused by various factors that affect the anatomical structures of teeth, this loss is unpredictable and when this process is extended to reach the dentine becomes irreversible. The aim of this study was to determine how often that occurs (ECDR) at students in the state of Nayarit in addition to knowing what are the most common etiological factors for the production of external cementum-dentinal reabsorption. The universe of this research is for the students of the academic unit of dentistry in the state of Nayarit, with a representative sample of 377 of them. The incidence of external cementum-dentinal reabsorption is a common finding in dental practice because of the 377 people at which they perform the writ 245 individuals were selected because they had risk factors. 170 students were present to perform the radiography, 129 of them presenting (ECDR) 75.9% are affected.
