ABSTRACT
One of the problems for dentistry is the growth and development disorders in children, this situation can be prevented at an early age through early diagnosis. In this research was taken as a premise the fact that the pattern of growth and development has multiple causes and it is susceptible of respond with mechanical and functional stimuli. Population of 117 children, between 8 and 13 years old, regardless of gender or nutritional conditions, we obtained a file consisting of medical history, study models, x-rays.
Objective: to know, setting a record for the analysis of the behavior of the braces of the oral cavity and maxillofacial conditions of the patients in this study.
Material: clinical examination, models, registration of hard and soft tissues.
Results: finding statistic relation: between the conditions of the oral frenulum insertion and the position of the dental organs having as a result a correlation with Pearson of 0.607 and growth and development and the insertion lingual with a correlation of Pearson of 684, which statistically probes the work hypothesis.
Conclusion: it exist a functional clinical relation of the braces with maxillofacial growth,
Discussion: the growth require an epidemiological follow and the growth behave until the end of the active growth stage.
