ABSTRACT
The case of a 26 year-old patient with diagnosis of heart failure and presence of a
mobile echogenic mass without calcification attached to the posterolateral area of the
left atrium was reported. She underwent surgery and tissue examination evidenced a
high-grade heart leiomyosarcoma. Postoperative course was satisfactory and her
clinical state was rigorously monitored by oncology and heart specialists in the
institution.
