Descriptive study of patients with failed functional nasal surgery

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to find the causes of failure in functional nasal surgery no coma, by studying medical records, interviews, physical examinations, telescope views and CT scans in 111 patients who underwent functional nasal surgery and continued to have nasal obstruction. The principal evidence of failure was turbinate hypertrophy, septal deviation, and adenoids. The causes were multiplex and included no coma insufficient preoperative evaluation, misdiagnosis, and probably the inexperience and limited ability of the surgeon.
