ABSTRACT
Case: This is the case of a 46 year-old woman, with smoking history during the previous ten years of three cigarettes per day. She began five months before her arrival with dry cough, during the night and pharyngeal pain. She also noted diaphoresis and asthenia. She was treated with antibiotics and had partial recovery. Two weeks later she began with medium efforts dyspnea and tachypnea. She was hospitalized during five days and a pleural seal was made to drain a para-pneumonic effusion. After two weeks she presented thoracic pain, increased with inspiration and accompanied by paresthesias. The previous week the pain was worse with partial recovery after ketorolac. She referred loss of 6 to 8 kilograms in the previous five months. In the physical exam a condensation syndrome in the left hemithorax was detectedREFERENCES
