ABSTRACT
Lymphangiomas are infrequent tumors of the soft tissues, skin, and internal organs. These tumors originate from the lymphatic vessels and are considered benign tumors; the rare malignant forms are related to previous radiation or sclerosing procedures. Clinical manifestations of lymphangiomas are tardy in evolution and no are due to the size of the tumors and the anatomical region. A clinicopathologic case of a 43-yers-old mexican female with a lymphangioma affecting the right quadratus pronator muscle is presented. Because the diagnosis was not established, clinical evolution was torpid until a complete resection was done followed by rehabilitation procedures. The patient did well and was discharged. The importance of this case is found in the diagnositic difficulties present in the patient.
