ABSTRACT
Rhabdomyolysis is a syndrome secondary to the destruction of cells of the skeletal muscle. The main complication of this clinical situation consists in the development of acute renal insufficiency. Drugs, mainly the statins can be considered as one of the main etiologies of this disease. We present the case of a patient who developed rhabdomyolysis secondary to the administration of statins.
