ABSTRACT
Introduction: In Venezuela there is a clearly increasing incidence of pregnancies in women between 11 and 14 years, which is attributed to the lack of education, lack of knowledge about human sexuality and the early onset of sexual activity, which results in transmitted diseases, abortions, undesired children, school dropouts and single mothers. There are myths and ignorance regarding pregnancy, childbirth, contraception and sexually transmitted diseases. Objective: Designing an educational program that contributes to the prevention of teenage pregnancy in patients of the family doctor’s clinic in La Victoria, Venezuela.2008-2009. Methodology: It is a development research in the family doctor’s clinic in The Victoria Quarter, Barquisimeto city, Lara State, Venezuela during the academic year 2008-2009, using quantitative and qualitative techniques. Results: It is objectively necessary to introduce this proposal which ensures strategies to develop an educational, instructional and developmental education. The educational program at the community level and in all sectors is designed considering the need for learning of male and female adolescents and the actual conditions of the community. Conclusions: The educational program is considered valid and applicable due to the result of expert criteria.REFERENCES
