ABSTRACT
Resistance means, the mechanism by bacteria which may decrease the action of agents antimicrobials. This research is determine patterns of resistance were antibiotic displayed in pathogens predominant isolates in the samples received from National Psychiatric Hospital patients during the first quarter of 2010 as information statistics of interest to this institution. A census of the samples referred to Bacteriology section of the National Hospital Psychiatric January to March 2010. 96 clinical samplers processed identifications during the first quarter of and E. coli, resistance rates notice about 50% of Trimethoprim Sulfa, Piperaciclina and Ampicillin. As reflected in this chart should not Nitrofurantoin used for strains of Proteus miriabilis. In the case of Klebsiella pneumoniae % resistance detected over 30% of all in Nitrofurantoin and Ampicillin and S. aureus percentages of resistance detected close to the value maximum antibiotics as Penicillin, Ampicillin, Cefazolin and Trimethoprim Sulfa. Currently there are several strategies to minimize the resistance of bacteria to the action Antibiotics: Wise Use of Antibiotics by educating physicians and the population establishing monitoring programs to detectthe emergence of resistant strains, and improving quality of susceptibility methods to guide empirical therapy against pathogens that cause most common infectious diseases. We believethat there should be adequate rotation of antibiotics in health institutions reduce resistance, since the use of antibiotics is a stimulus for the emergence of resistance.REFERENCES
