ABSTRACT
Cardiac MRI is a diagnostic alternative that provides an assessment of the heart, adjacent organs and vasculature in the chest with a high image quality, making it a valuable scientific tool in medicine. This process is performed by health professionals, including physicians and radiology technologists, who are responsible for collecting, verifying and analyzing the data found on the cardiac MRI, culminating in a process of transcends beyond disease, to the research and development of new technologies. This paper aims to show and describe the basic techniques in cardiac MRI conducted by an interdisciplinary group of physicians, technologists and researchers with over 10 years of experience, becoming a learning exercise for the clinician, providing basic elements that guide in the analysis and interpretation of cardiac MRI.
