ABSTRACT
Subungual squamous cell carcinoma is considered a rare condition, despite being the most common tumor in this topography. The diagnosis is often delayed because the tumor can adopt similar morphologies to many benign nail conditions (viral warts, onychomycosis, nail dystrophy). In this article we present the case of a male patient with a subungual tumor localized in the left thumb. The radiographic and histophatological studies showed bone tumor invasion data, compatible with Squamous cell carcinoma.
