ABSTRACT
This case is from a 28 years old female who presented asthenia, adynamia, weigh loss, progressive dyspnea and lipothymia. Peripheral blood showed thrombocytopenia and normocytic anaemia. She received high doses of corticosteroid treatment by a supposed Evan’s Syndrome. She was referred to our hospital. Histological examination of the bone marrow showed infiltration by clump cells with basophilic cytoplasm and cytoplasmic vacuolization. CT scan of pelvis revealed a 50x35x45 mm pelvic mass from the posterior edge of the ampulla of the rectum extended to the perineal region which was totally asymptomatic. The biopsy of the pelvic mass, the left inguinal node and the bone marrow biopsy were diagnosed as adenocarcinoma poorly differentiated. The patient condition decreased notably and she died few time after. The immunohystochemical staining were positive for desmin and vimentine diagnosed as alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma
