ABSTRACT
Propose of study of the Thyroid Nodule is its incidence, because, it is perhaps the most frequency endocrine problem in the world, and its particulars interest for relation with thyroid cancer. Defined as a clinical condition, characterized for growing in a specific point (focused) unique or multiple, in the thyroid gland. It is more frequency in women, can be presented in all ages, but it has more incidence in the third and fourth decade of life. The majority has no symptoms; they can be discovered by chance, so rarely they obtain dimensions such as they can produce local manifestation (dysphagia, dysphonia) on systemic (hyperthyroidism). From the thyroid nodules more than 90% are adenomas and like a 10 % are malignant. Data from the clinic history in which we can suspect a lesion malignant are in extreme ages of life, male sex, evolution time, fast growing, pain, symptoms of compression and cervical adenopathy, head, neck and chest irradiation history, family history of MEN type II. Physical examination should describe the characteristics of the nodule (size, consistence, and fixation) and cervical adenopathy. Diagnosis management includes Thyroid function test, isotope scan, and ultrasound, Fine needle aspiration, this will definitive its treatment and prognosis.REFERENCES
