ABSTRACT
Depression occurs in children and adolescents. A diagnosis should be considered when a child or adolescent exhibits depressed mood or anhedonia, somatic complaints, or behavioral changes, such as aggression. Antidepressants and cognitive behavioral theraphy are best treatments for depression mainly in adolescents. Depression in youth is treatable and responds best to multimodal treatment: education, cognitive behavioral, and antidepressant medication. The objective of this review is to show the depression and how we can make diagnosis.
