Follicular mucinosis. Report of a case in a pediatric patient

ABSTRACT

A 6 year old boy was referred to evaluate a localized hypochromic alopecic patch in the right eyebrow. Hystopathologic examination showed mucin deposits within follicular infundibulum. The diagnostic of follicular mucinosis was considered and treatment with topical corticosteroid was started with good response.
