ABSTRACT
The giant cell tumor of bone is a rare tumor, it is a locally aggressive tumor with benign features, it´s more frequent in women. Commonly occurs in epiphysis and metaphysis of long bones and only 0.9 to 4% affects short bones. We report a typical case with unusual topography in a 19 years old woman. Studies show a lytic lesion that replaces almost the entire second metacarpal, this tumor is shows histopathologically a proliferation of giant cells osteoclasts-like.
