ABSTRACT
Disease Legg-Calve-Perthes is the common final result of disorders that lead to a damage of the irrigation of femoral head. The etiology is unknown. There are several theories about that. It is an isquemic process, the oxygen is necessary for the viability of the bone, the healing and the remodeling. Medicine hyperbaric has been used to shorten the time of normal evolution of the disease, to avoid surgeries and sequels. In Costa Rica, this treatment has not been described and it is not a therapy commonly used. There are a lot of reports in the world literature
