ABSTRACT

The Rapunzel syndrome, is a rare form of gastric trichobezoar extending throughout the bowel. These patient came to the Hospital San Vito emergency department with history of diffuse abdominal pain what means an intensive study and evaluation of the differential diagnosis. This is the second patient with Rapunzel Syndrome reported in the literature in the past ten years. In this article we make a review about the epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, complications, treatment, and literature brief.
