ABSTRACT
The intermittent claudication is a clinical manifestation with a high prevalence in the elderly, and because of its close relation with the systemic atherosclerotic disease, it should be diagnosed y treated promptly; the exercise in these patients is orientated to improve the claudication symptoms and to increase the walking distance in the elderly without pain.
