ABSTRACT

An analytical study was done of control and cases about Trichomonas vaginalis in women in health area of Ciego de Ávila province Cuba. The sample were 100 cases of women diagnosed with the parasite by direct exam and equal number of controls. To both groups a survey was done which was previously validated. The odd ratio and the confidence interval were calculated. As risk factors were detected the educational level, kindy of job, early beginning of the first sexual relations and to have three or more persons as sexual patters in a period of six months.
