ABSTRACT
The diagnosis of scoliosis is based on both the data found in a complete medical history, and in the interpretation of clinical maneuvers designed to assess the mobilization symmetrical of the spine. The results of auxiliary studies such as the Plain radiographs, CT scan, MRI and neuromuscular Test will integrate. It is advisable to have a protocol or at least some kind of systematic approach which is performed in all patients suspected the presence of scoliosis including height measurement, body postural inspection and grading of the shoulders. It´s advisable help us with common objects as a «level» and a plumb line. In individuals in which they present any alteration in the symmetry of the shoulders or an unusual inclination of the spine, we must conduct clinical trials such as the dynamic test of Adams and a study that includes complete neurological reflexes to delimit the affected dermatome. In the studies we can obtain a simple radiographic measurement either by the Cobb method or the method of Ferguson. These measurements can tell us both the current state as the prognosis of progression of the scoliosis.
