ABSTRACT
Sphenochoanal polyp, a benign, rare, of slow growing neoplasm, is a gelatinous mass that originates in the sphenoid sinus mucosa, which grows and spreads through the sphenoid ostium to fill the choana and nasopharynx. With radiological studies such as CT and MRI, diagnosis can be clearly established. The key point for diagnosis is to identify the sinus of origin, of which surgical approach depends. The best route is by endoscopic resection because complications are minimal.
