ABSTRACT
Chylous ascites is a rare entity that could have multiples causes, being the ones originated by regional lymphatic system pathologies exceptional. There are a few cases reported in the literature in which its finding has linked with the extrinsic compression of the thoracic duct secondary to pericardial pathologies, these, always combined at the presence of chylothorax. We present the case of a patient who began with chylous ascites not associated to chylothorax secondary to idiopathic constrictive pericarditis.REFERENCES
