ABSTRACT

In Tribute to: Registered Nurse Sor María Suárez Vázquez, 1945-2010. Illustrious nurse of our Instituto Nacional de Cardiología Ignacio Chavez. Teacher, guide, religious and with a great vocation at the service, and an exceptional woman devoted to Mexican nursing. Force behind the professionalization of nursing in Mexico, ONU representative of the nursing profession, was credited to multiple national and International recognitions, awards, generated and leave its indelible human quality in every person that we knew him. His life was dedicated to health assistance, administration, teaching and research in nursing. Even year of absence, returning a little of what she gave us in life: Love and Service. “To continue the struggle that is most imperative, the most implacable of the mandates of life because we have to fight to learn, to want to fight, fight for power, but above all, fight to live”.
