ABSTRACT
Pain assessment had been traditionally a difficult task, taking into account the complexity of a multidimensional concept consisting of highly diverse ramifications and implications, in terms of the quantitative aspects and psychological and behavioral implications of pain. It is important to establish a documented process including a visual analogue scale (VAS) and allowing a proper assessment of pain in order to interfere with efficient and timely care to meet the needs of the patient in the technical and interpersonal aspects.REFERENCES
