ABSTRACT
Mondor's disease is a benign condition that is characterized by a superficial thromboflebitis of the mammary region. The etiology is not clear, there are risk factors that include breast surgery, biopsy, inflammatory process, breast cancer and trauma. Management is guided towards pain with analgesics and non steroidal antiinflamatories. The patient was treated with 1 ampula of betamethasone (5mg of betamethasone as dipropionate and 2 mg of betamethasone as sodium phosphate) in 2 doses and ibuprofen 200 mg every 12 hours for two days and was re evaluated two weeks after. The patient responded well to treatment, nowadays is found asymptomatic.
