ABSTRACT
Introduction: The creation of a health questionnaire is not an easy task, for its realization took concepts of «health» and «guest.» Child health, respiratory diseases in Mexico represents the third leading cause of morbidity - mortality, requiring a respiratory health questionnaire in children that allows us to identify respiratory healthy children, to our knowledge in Mexico do not have any of this type.
Objective: Create a proposal for a respiratory health questionnaire in Mexican children aged 7 to 15 years.
Method: cross sectional study. We searched the literature for the month of June to November 2010, asking questions to the questionnaire, reviewing by a panel of experts in the field of Pulmonology, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Education who reviewed, edited and suggested in four drafts presented.
Results: The first version of the Respiratory Health Questionnaire in Mexican children aged 7 to 15 years old, consists of 12 domains with 123 questions, closed questions only he launched a pre-encoding.
Conclusion: It was considered by experts and researchers that the first version of the Respiratory Health Questionnaire in Mexican children, was unfit to continue with the internal and external validation.
