ABSTRACT
We present the case of infant with 5 months age immunocompetent clinically, whom after an upper airway infection, he rapidly developed skin lesion's, maculopapular rash, reddish, red or purple color, symmetrically distributed in face (Hedi's face), arms and foot, a clinical diagnosis of vasculitis was established. Serological test were positive to antibodies to anti-CMV IgM and IgG class and was established diagnosis of acute infection for cytomegalic inclusion virus. In absence of attack to general conditions and based in the evidence of vasculitis, we opted for immunosupresor treatment with parental administration of methylprednisolone for tree doses, obtaining a good clinical response.
We commented about bibliographic reference about description of acute CMV infection on infants without immunologic compromised evident.
