ABSTRACT
After the introduction of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in 1960, teachings courses have been provided to medical personnel and thereafter bystanders. The purpose of CPR teaching is the improvement in outcome whose is related with the quality of teaching. Guidelines for instructors are useful to uniform concepts, criteria and education techniques to optimize the care of cardiac arrest victims. Training with audiotape, videotape and special programs of software have major effectiveness in comparison with the traditional courses. Repetitive television spots, films and information through Internet are useful tools to increase the knowledge and skills on the maneuvers of basic life support.
