ABSTRACT
Multiple symmetrical lipomatosis or Launois-Bensaude’s disease is a rare disease characterized by development of symmetric, progressive subcutaneous not capsulated fat masses in different parts of the body; they are localized more frequently around the neck, shoulders and upper extremities. This pathology is related to chronic alcoholism and some metabolism’s disorders so several complications are caused by tumour compression of diverse structure. We describe a case associated with deep veins thrombosis and make a review of medical literature.
