ABSTRACT
Fractures of the distal radius represent 3% of all the injuries of the upper extremity and are the frequent ones of the corporal economy. Its treatment changes day to day, as much by the complexity of the same like the technological advances that allow using new techniques and you implant. By its close relation with the join function is of fundamental importance of restoring the fractures anatomically, and of avoiding with these consequences. The surgical indications are well established, for this reason it is necessary to have in mind that the new implants and techniques require of a very careful evaluation in their effectiveness, in the waited for risks and benefits, but particularly will be very necessary consider the own characteristics of the patient.
