ABSTRACT
This paper reports the case of a male newborn who showed dark and pigmented birthmarks type nevus, asymmetrical, localized in thorax, abdomen and limbs without others congenital malformations. He was assisted by Dermatology service, whose clinical diagnosis was giant congenital melanocytic nevus. Because this is a premalignant skin disorder, the patient was referred to a third-level hospital for follow-up and treatment.
