ABSTRACT
The Möbius or Moebius syndrome is an extremely rare congenital neurological disease in which two important cranial nerves, VI and VII, are not totally developed, which causes face and lacking paralysis of movement in the eyes. These nerves control the blinking and the lateral motion of the eyes, as well as the multiple expressions of the face. This paper reports the case of an 8-year-old female patient, who presents bilateral face paralysis and absence of movements in lateroversiones. The early diagnosis is indispensable to diminish the sequels by rehabilitation.
