ABSTRACT
Pectum Excavatum is a congenital structural abnormality. It is the most frecuent thoracic structural disorder. For a long time, subjective medical opinion has been the basis for taking the decision wether or not to operate on patients. This article suggests a compilation of real scientific and specific indications for surgery, that warrant a more clinical approach in taking that decision.
