ABSTRACT
The Brucellosis, also known as “undulant fever”, is the most common zoonotic disease in the world. It is caused by several bacterium from the genus
Brucella, which reservoir is broadly found in the animal kingdom, mainly in cattle. Therefore, the population in risk is the one that has been exposed to these animals; including farmers. The main source of infection is to consume unpasteurized products; however, there are some other causes such as direct contagion (from human to human), and a polluted environment. Thus, Brucellosis is considered as a public health thread, especially in undeveloped countries where the cattle vaccine campaign and the pasteurized process are expensive.
