ABSTRACT
Introduction: The habits that the parents offer to the children at home, as well as the scholastic programs related to breakfast can be associated to obesity when they are inadequate with an incorrect nutrition.
Material and Methods: Longitudinal, observational, descriptive, qualitative study, in students (ace) pre-students, of the Institute “San Rafael” of San Luis Potosí, included 49 students, in days at random by five days, evaluating the food that their parents provided in their bag packs. The statistics calculated in program SPS version 12 I am used test of asintónic meaning of the Method of Monte Carlo it with a level of 99% confidence.
Results: In relation to the product content in their bags a total of 188 corresponded to juice, refreshments 20, milkshake 34, water of commercial flavor 15, yogurt 77, fruits 34, vegetables 2, cakes and similar 80, other products 130 and chips 6. In order to determine the existing relation between the variables, It was made the statistical test of square Chi resistance having had asintónic significance in all the variables of contents of their backpacks with the exception of refreshments.
Conclusions: There is a high number of products no apt for a good nutrition contained in the backpacks, it urgently requires education for the health and nutritional direction like a fundamental measurement to stop and to prevent the indices with obesity.
