ABSTRACT
Myxoma is the most frequent primary tumor of the heart. In up to 80% of the cases, it arises in the left atrium. Its diagnosis does not represent a challenge to the surgical pathology; however, it is essential to know about some specific varieties like glandular mixoma, an uncommon histological entity that occurs in 3% of all the cases. We describe a right atrium glandular myxoma in a 42 years old woman. It is important to spread out the information of this rare entity, as well as its differential diagnosis, and suggest a long-term monitoring.
