ABSTRACT
Aortic stenosis is defined as impaired emptying valve that prevents the camera from left ventricular outflow, such difficulty is directly related to valve area. The anatomical location of the stenosis, can be subvalvular, valvular or supravalvular. For the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología Ignacio Chávez, aortic stenosis represents 36% of valvular heart disease, in 2007 were performed 178 aortic valve changes, graduating to 88% improvement and 12% for death. Evidence indicates that 20% of people with aortic stenosis (moderate to severe) had sudden death. This document aims to guide the nurse in making the best decision on the specific care of the person with aortic stenosis to explicitly capture how nursing care process, with the philosophical approach of Virginia Henderson, and operations necessary the level of evidence for each. In that way, which identified 3 priority nursing diagnosis for the person with aortic stenosis, the clinical question was developed and conducted a systematic search for evidence and to synthesize the 3 built nursing care plans.
