ABSTRACT
The neurofibromatosis (NF) was described by von Reklinhausen in 1882; dysplasia of the greater wing of the sphenoid bone is an ophthalmic manifestation in the NF type 1, which may result in pulsating exophthalmos. In this report we present the case of pediatric patient with NF-1 and pulsating left eye without exophthalmos, secondary to dysplasia of the greater wing of the sphenoid bone that improvemed after surgical treatment.
