ABSTRACT
Germ cell tumors are present in the majority of testicular neoplasm cases and of these, 30 to 50% are classified as mixed germ cell tumors. Mature or immature teratomas are found in germ cell tumors. Somatic malignization may develop in gonadal and extragonadal teratomas and this somatic malignization occurs more frequently between 1 and 4 years of age with a more benign outcome. It is extremely rare from 5 to 10 years of age and reappears in postpuberty. The most frequently associated somatic malignizations are those of sarcomas and primitive neuroectodermal tumors, even though they are very rare. The present case is of a 17-year-old male patient presenting with mixed germ cell tumor with immature teratoma and malignization of neuroectodermal tumor.
